As a Security Officer Patrol Associate in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by following security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity to the appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, dock doors, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit activity for personnel, visitors, and/or delivery traffic, verifying credentials and following site access protocols for a busy logistics and distribution location.
• Support loss prevention and operational continuity by observing package handling areas, reporting damaged property or suspicious behavior, and communicating clearly with site leadership and/or emergency services when needed.
