About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol and Badge Verification in Glendale, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a dynamic retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. You will support a welcoming environment through routine patrols, strong communication, and teamwork, while bringing integrity, reliability, and a people-first approach to every shift.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner and report details according to site protocol.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, sales floor areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with observing foot traffic, deliveries, and/or after-hours activity in support of established location procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and/or maintenance or security-related issues accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and/or the client contact as directed.
