About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol and Access Control in Glendale, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a luxury retail location.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while supporting store personnel and visitors.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, entrances, stockroom areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor and employee activity, and report security-related issues, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns to site leadership.
• Support loss prevention efforts by documenting incidents, completing required reports, and communicating observed trends or suspicious behavior to the appropriate contacts.
