Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations in accordance with site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify access permissions as directed by site policy, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns to the appropriate contacts.
• Support a professional environment at a technology-focused location by assisting employees, visitors, and vendors with directions, policy questions, and/or security-related concerns.
