About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Agent in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and/or operational disruptions in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity to the appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout loading areas, warehouse spaces, trailer lots, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and support access control processes for personnel, vendors, and delivery traffic.
• Support shipping and receiving operations by observing dock activity, noting damaged gates, doors, and/or fencing, and communicating maintenance or security-related issues according to site procedures.
