About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Access Support in Akron, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic utilities location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access awareness across the site. Requirements

Must be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and help support site personnel during changing conditions.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including operational areas, buildings, and perimeter zones, noting and reporting unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by observing activity, verifying access permissions when required, and reporting issues according to site procedures.
Document incidents, observations, and/or maintenance or hazard concerns, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
