About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Access Specialist in West Memphis, AR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Allied Universal Patrol Officer in a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support access awareness throughout the site. Requirements

  • A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and site personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a logistics and distribution environment.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout warehouses, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, and perimeter access points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity for employees, visitors, and deliveries, verifying credentials, following access protocols, and reporting irregularities according to site guidelines.
  • Observe operational areas for hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations, then prepare clear reports and relay information to management or Allied Universal leadership as appropriate.
