As a Security Officer Patrol Access Representative in Orlando, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a shelter location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support residents, staff, and visitors with excellent customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Meet licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card or license is preferred
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred
  • The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred
  • Customer service experience is preferred
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a shelter location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the shelter property, common areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access to the location by observing arrivals and departures, verifying authorization when required, and documenting security-related concerns, incidents, and/or daily activity.
  • Support a respectful environment by interacting professionally with individuals in need, de-escalating conflicts when possible, and following post orders related to trespassing, loitering, and/or emergency situations.
