About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Access Control in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a residential location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support residents and guests with exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential location, including common areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter spaces, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
Monitor access to the property by observing arrivals and departures, verifying visitor information when required, and reporting unusual activity or maintenance-related concerns.
Support property rules and community expectations by addressing routine issues with professionalism, providing directions or assistance, and communicating with residents, guests, and/or management as needed.
