Requirements

  • A New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, including interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter zones, helping to identify and report potential issues.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, helping to support authorized entry procedures and directing individuals to the appropriate department or contact.
  • Assist with security-related requests and/or medical location protocols, helping to maintain order during busy periods, restricted access situations, and other routine or unexpected events.
