As a Security Officer Patrol Access Monitor in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Security Officer at a commercial real estate location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help reduce security-related concerns, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related issues to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the property, including lobbies, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify authorized access as directed by site policies, and assist with visitor and/or vendor interactions in a professional manner.
• Support daily operations by communicating with property personnel, following post orders, and completing required reports related to incidents, patrol activity, and/or maintenance concerns.
