As a Security Officer Patrol Access Associate in Frederick, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site leadership when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including building interiors, parking areas, and perimeter spaces, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials when required, and support access control practices for restricted areas in a professional manner.
  • Assist with incident reporting, visitor interactions, and/or direction during medical, weather, or facility-related events while following Allied Universal and location guidelines.
