Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, patients, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including building interiors, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter zones, to help identify security-related concerns and report issues promptly.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, help to deter unauthorized access, and support visitor management practices in accordance with location policies and procedures.
  • Support a healthcare-focused environment by observing for disruptions, assisting with directions and general inquiries, and reporting maintenance, hazard, and/or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
