About The Position

Requirements

• Proof of required vaccinations for hospital site access is required.
• The client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and help to de-escalate tense interactions when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including hallways, lobbies, parking areas, and perimeter locations, noting unusual activity and/or conditions.
• Monitor access points and high-traffic areas, assist with visitor direction and entry procedures, and report security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities in accordance with site protocols and Allied Universal expectations.
