That’s why we created the Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position: a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader. As a Security Officer Part Time in Wickliffe, KY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. This role involves a Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”) where you will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule, requiring a six (6) month commitment. Additionally, through the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program, you may pick-up extra shifts via a scheduling platform to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites, allowing you to work part-time hours one week and full-time the next. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back when needed.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, contractors, and/or employees by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site access requirements.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, and restricted areas to help support security-related operations and identify unusual conditions.
  • Communicate with site personnel regarding access issues, policy questions, and/or security-related concerns while maintaining accurate logs, reports, and shift activity records.
