As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a welcoming, orderly environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing badges, and documenting access activity. You will provide outstanding customer service while using computer or tablet systems and communicating clearly with employees, visitors, and delivery personnel. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying identification, credentials, visitor authorization, and delivery personnel documentation in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain accurate access-control, visitor, vehicle, and incident records, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, shipping and receiving areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
