As an Unarmed Security Officer, you will monitor and patrol utility-related locations, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a secure environment for employees and visitors. This driving position requires a valid driver's license. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond professionally to security-related concerns while demonstrating Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies at a utility infrastructure location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, hazards, or unauthorized access.
  • Monitor access to restricted areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate logs and records in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and support emergency response activities as directed.
  • Prepare clear incident reports and communicate observations, concerns, and security-related information to supervisors and site representatives.
