Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Access Control/Badge Experience (B201)Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management. This includes familiarity with security protocols and the ability to manage access to facilities effectively.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204)Candidates must be comfortable using computers or tablets for daily tasks. Proficiency in basic software applications, email communication, and data entry is essential for success in this role.
• Customer Service Experience (B219)Candidates should possess a strong background in customer service. This includes effective communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to providing exceptional service to clients and customers.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a utility services location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and notifying appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, perimeter locations, and utility-related infrastructure to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site requirements.
• Document observations, incidents, patrol activities, and policy violations accurately in required reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
