As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, and help deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly, and support a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • Be available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
  • Have at least one year of security-related experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be available for last-minute shift scheduling.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and utility operations personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, buildings, parking areas, equipment areas, and perimeter locations to identify and report security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, vendors, and vehicles in accordance with site-specific policies.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to procedures.
  • Complete accurate reports, maintain detailed activity logs, and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
