Requirements

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, artists, vendors, and patrons by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities at a cultural institution.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout galleries, performance spaces, public areas, offices, loading areas, parking facilities, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas; verify authorized access; and assist with visitor directions, event-related questions, and crowd-flow needs.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting requirements.
