Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and/or government personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of airport terminals, parking areas, access points, roadways, and perimeter locations, reporting unusual conditions and helping to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access control points and verify credentials, permits, and/or visitor authorizations in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate site contacts and public-service agencies.
  • Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and shift logs accurately and in a timely manner.
