As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. Requirements

  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public at a government administrative location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
  • Monitor access points, verify authorized entry as directed, and assist with visitor flow while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of public areas, offices, entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and emergency situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and public agencies as required.
  • Document daily activities, patrols, incidents, and security-related observations in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.
