Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a utility location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and communicating observations to appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, perimeter locations, and other assigned areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site-specific requirements.
  • Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs for patrols, incidents, access activity, and other security-related observations.
