As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in an educational setting, you will conduct routine mobile and foot patrols, remain visible to help to deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service to students, staff, and visitors. Requirements

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, parking locations, walkways, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity for unusual conditions, reporting concerns to appropriate personnel and documenting incidents accurately.
• Support a welcoming campus environment by providing directions, answering general questions, and maintaining a professional presence during assigned shifts.
