As an Unarmed Security Officer in a chemical and petrochemical location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access to designated areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain required logs and records in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel.
  • Observe and report potential hazards, equipment concerns, spills, or other unusual conditions in accordance with site reporting protocols.
