Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate hospital personnel and first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of facility areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
  • Assist with visitor access procedures, directions, and incident documentation while maintaining a professional and courteous presence.
  • Monitor security-related systems and report hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to site leadership in accordance with established procedures.
