Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
X-ray screening experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate hospital personnel and first responders as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of facility areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
Assist with visitor access procedures, directions, and incident documentation while maintaining a professional and courteous presence.
Monitor security-related systems and report hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to site leadership in accordance with established procedures.
