As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a residential care location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points and alarm activity, and communicate professionally with residents, visitors, and staff. Requirements

  • Possess at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directing guests, and report unusual conditions or maintenance concerns to appropriate site personnel.
  • Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
