Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a busy cruise operations location, where you will help monitor access points, screen guests and property, and support security-related procedures with professionalism and care. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • A TSA issued TWIC is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Screen passengers, visitors, crew, and/or carried items in accordance with post procedures and location requirements, and report prohibited or unusual items through proper channels.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while supporting security-related protocols at the location.
  • Monitor entry points, waiting areas, and/or screening lanes to help to deter unauthorized access and support orderly movement of people.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting unusual conditions and communicating observations to site leadership as needed.
