As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail location, you will conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible, and help to deter security-related incidents while delivering standout customer service. You will communicate clearly with store teams and visitors, document observations, and respond to concerns with professionalism and integrity. Requirements

• A guard card and/or security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including addressing disturbances, suspected theft-related activity, and customer conflicts, and/or requesting assistance as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout sales floors, entrances, receiving areas, and parking areas to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and associate activity for irregular conditions, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site leadership and/or dispatch.
• Complete routine reports and incident documentation, communicate post updates during shift turnovers, and support loss prevention and operational teams with security-related presence as directed.
