Requirements

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and faculty by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, galleries, common areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and visitor activity, supporting access control procedures and providing directions or assistance to guests in a professional manner.
  • Support special events, exhibitions, and daily operations by helping manage foot traffic, observing assigned areas, and communicating clearly with team members and location representatives.
