As an unarmed Security Officer supporting a government healthcare location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and report security-related concerns. This driving role requires strong communication and customer service as you assist staff, visitors, and the public. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate medical, facility, and public-service personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare campus buildings, parking areas, entrances, and surrounding perimeters to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, providing directions and assisting with access-related questions.
  • Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and communicate observations, activities, and concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
