As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service through clear communication. Requirements

  • A Guard Card/License is preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, and/or visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, office areas, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter zones; note and report unusual activity and/or hazards.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, directing people to appropriate resources, and/or requesting public services when needed.
  • Monitor access points and key areas through rounds and/or video monitoring; help to deter unauthorized entry by verifying credentials, observing visitor activity, and reporting concerns to site leadership.
  • Document patrol activity, incidents, and service requests in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
