Requirements

  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related activities, and emergency response support when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the hotel property, including lobbies, hallways, guest-facing areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations, with attention to unusual activity and property conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, common areas, and other assigned locations to help to deter unauthorized activity, assist with directional guidance, and support a professional and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Support security-related operations by reporting maintenance concerns, disturbances, and policy-related issues, while following Allied Universal standards and site-specific post instructions.
