Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a dynamic cruise operations location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support guests and staff with outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, crew members, and port personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with supervisors and/or local responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals, boarding areas, gangways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify entry permissions when required, and report unauthorized persons, unattended items, and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Support crowd management during embarkation, debarkation, and other high-traffic periods while providing directions, answering questions, and reporting hazards or maintenance concerns.
