As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide professional customer service and communication. You will assist with access control, document observations, and respond to security-related concerns while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-focused, and integrity-driven culture.

Requirements

  • Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government service center.
  • Monitor access points, verify visitor authorization as required, and direct individuals to appropriate public service areas in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of public areas, offices, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
