Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors at a technology data center by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of data center buildings, entrances, parking areas, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site policies, documenting visitor, contractor, and delivery activity as required.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
  • Prepare accurate activity reports and communicate relevant security-related information to site leadership, Allied Universal management, and emergency responders as needed.
