Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • An active Department of Defense Secret clearance is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access control points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site requirements.
  • Document observations, incidents, patrol activity, and policy violations in clear, accurate reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.
