You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, respond to alarms and access control activity, and document observations with clear communication. Requirements

  • A minimum of 1+ years of security experience is required.
  • Applicants must be 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify maintenance or access concerns.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other building systems as assigned, documenting observations and promptly communicating unusual conditions through the appropriate channels.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing clear directions, coordinating with on-site contacts, and/or contacting public responders when required.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification and/or authorization, maintaining visitor logs as assigned, and completing reports and shift documentation per Allied Universal standards.
