As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will make routine rounds, stay highly visible, and help to deter security-related incidents while supporting staff, patients, and visitors with professional customer service and clear communication. You will document observations, respond to calls for assistance, and collaborate with your team to act with integrity in a caring culture that puts people first. This is a driving post and requires a valid driver’s license.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting de-escalation and contacting clinical staff and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location and its perimeter, including parking areas, entrances, corridors, and common areas; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor management and direction-giving, helping to deter unauthorized entry and/or loitering while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Document security-related activities, incidents, and observations in written reports and logs, and communicate notable information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
