You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide clear customer service and communication to staff and visitors. You will use technology for reporting and daily tasks while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, integrity, and a people-first culture.

Requirements

  • Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access Control/Badge Experience - preferred.
  • Customer Service Experience - preferred.
  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet - preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance or access concerns.
  • Monitor access points and common areas, observe for unusual conditions, and report concerns according to post orders and escalation protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and/or coordinating with site leadership and local responders as directed.
  • Complete required reports and logs, document incidents and observations accurately, and communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and/or site contacts.
