As an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for assistance, support staff and visitors with courteous customer service, and document observations with clear communication. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license, and offers a team-focused environment where agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity guide daily work.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and coordinating notifications to site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Control access by monitoring doors and restricted areas, assisting with visitor check-in direction, and verifying authorization in accordance with site policies.
  • Complete routine reports and documentation, including patrol logs, incident reports, and shift activity summaries, and communicate observations during shift handoff.
