As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help to discourage security-related incidents, and support guests and store teams with clear, professional communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license under AU driver policy requirements. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, tenants, and guests by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout retail common areas, parking areas, service corridors, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, coordinating with site contacts, and requesting public emergency services when needed.
  • Monitor entrances, loading or receiving areas, and other assigned points for authorized access, and/or observe for policy violations and suspicious behavior while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Complete detailed incident and activity reports, document patrol findings, and communicate observations and/or concerns to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
