Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, staff, faculty, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to an educational location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with campus contacts and/or first responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of classrooms, common areas, administrative buildings, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and help to verify authorized entry, while following location protocols for visitors, deliveries, and after-hours activity.
- Document incidents, observations, and daily activities in required reports, and report maintenance concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate location contact.
