Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
  • A Security Professional Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of building interiors, parking areas, loading zones, entry points, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or policy concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required by site procedures, and direct guests to appropriate locations.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
  • Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
