Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government juvenile justice location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, observe and report security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication. You will support a caring, people-first culture through teamwork, integrity, reliability, agility, and innovative service while helping maintain an orderly environment for staff, visitors, and youth.

Requirements

  • Possess at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security-related supervisor/manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, youth, and other authorized individuals by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry, visitors, deliveries, and contractors in accordance with facility policies.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports documenting incidents, observations, patrol activity, and policy violations.
