As an Access Control Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will manage entry points, verify access credentials, monitor activity, and help maintain a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly, and support incident response while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with integrity and teamwork.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or associates by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and delivery documentation, and maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and vehicle access records.
• Control access to designated areas, coordinate with receiving and shipping personnel, and report unauthorized access attempts or irregular activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established security-related protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading docks, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
