As an Access Control Officer in a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, and support a professional, welcoming environment. You will remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents while providing strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor access control points by verifying credentials, authorizing entry and exit, documenting visitor and/or vehicle activity, and helping to deter unauthorized access to buildings, loading areas, and restricted locations.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts, dispatch, and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around entrances, shipping and receiving areas, trailer yards, parking areas, and the perimeter to identify unusual activity and report security-related concerns.
  • Maintain accurate logs, reports, and pass-down information related to access activity, deliveries, and security-related incidents, while following Allied Universal standards and site-specific expectations.
