Requirements

  • Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A guard card or license is required.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, tenants, and vendors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor vehicle and pedestrian entry points, verify authorization for access, and maintain visitor, vendor, and delivery records in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to access concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate personnel when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, common areas, parking locations, and the perimeter to help identify unauthorized activity and support access-control procedures.
  • Communicate professionally with residents and visitors while helping to deter unauthorized entry and maintaining accurate activity reports.
