Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic utilities location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access activities with professionalism. Requirements

  • Possess 2+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience preferred.
  • Guard card is required
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all persons at the location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report conditions, activities, and/or concerns to the appropriate contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of utility property, access points, operational areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity for employees, visitors, and contractors, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and document security-related events and/or policy-related issues.
  • Support traffic and access control activities at the location, provide directions and assistance when needed, and communicate with site personnel during routine operations and/or service interruptions.
