As an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing visitor access, and using computer or tablet-based systems. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with employees and guests, and support security-related operations with integrity and teamwork. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • At least six months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
  • Monitor and control access points by verifying credentials, issuing visitor badges, maintaining entry records, and directing authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
  • Observe vehicle, employee, contractor, and vendor traffic at gates and entrances; inspect authorized deliveries and shipments in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; promptly communicate concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, exits, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
